It's Worth It....Always.

If you're a mother of teens, find yourself expecting a new blessing, and wonder "How will these older kids relate to a much younger sibling? Will the baby ever really know his big sister?", fear not!

There is a beauty in a wide span of ages amongst siblings.

Rough and gruff teens are gentled by their toddler siblings....

Younger siblings realize that big people can be crazy-fun....

And, throughout their entire lives, they always have loving companions for the journey.

    1. It really is! I've seen it as a sibling and, now, as a parent. I love it!

  2. It nearly makes me crazy that Rhys will only be 6 or so when Roman goes off to college.

    1. Maybe he will commute! It happened to us this year! It was killing me that Will would only be 18 mos when Killian left for college, but he opted for commuter school and they are both loving it!

  3. Oh my gosh, that second one? With Will's hand on Joe's (?) leg? I die.

  4. There are 23 years between my oldest brother and youngest sister. This is so true that it hurts my soul and makes me tear up. Beautiful, MK.

    1. That's awesome, Micaela! There's 16 years between me and my baby sister, and nearly 17 between Killian and Will. They do interact and love one another and it builds over the years to sustain them until adulthood.

  6. Love this. I think teenagers get such a bad rep and then I read something like this, and can't wait for the day!

  8. This is all so true. My husband has an 18yr old boy that lives with us and I love watching him interact with all the littles. The affection warms my heart and the bickering that goes on between the 18yr old and the toddlers cracks me up.

  10. We have 7 also and it is amazing to watch the older ones snuggle with the littles. I found my 16 yr old sharing his afternoon snack with the 1 yr old on the couch today. All snuggled up and watching a movie. Oh, melt my heart!
